BCCI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the central contract list of the players yesterday. Some players have made their way back into the list, and at the same time, some players have been included in this central contract list for the very first time.
There are 34 players mentioned in this central contract list made by the BCCI, and the players are divided into four groups, A+, A, B and C. The players in the A+ category get the highest salary of seven crores, players with the A category get a salary of 5 crores, players in the B category will get a salary of 3 crores, and players who are in the last group of C will get a salary of one crore each.
Group A+ –

The BCCI has selected the top players of the Indian Team in Group A+. There are four players mentioned in the group, and these players are also the highest-paid Indian cricketers. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and the spin bowling all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, are in the A+ category, and these players earn a salary of seven crores.
Group A –

Rishabh Pant will be the new star who will enter the Group A. Last year, this flamboyant wicketkeeper batsman was in the category of Group B of the central contract list of the BCCI. Amongst the six players named in the BCCI’s central contract list, Ravichandran Ashwin is out because he has retired from all three formats. Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Siraj, Kannur Lokesh Rahul, Shubman Gill, Mohammed Shami and Hardik Pandya have been listed in the Group A category, and these players will earn a salary of five crores.
Group B –

Shreyas Iyer is again a part of the central contract list made by the BCCI. The middle-order batter of the Men in Blue has been slotted in the group B category alongside India’s T20 and T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Yashaswi Jaiswal. These players will earn a salary of three crores each.
Group C –

In the last group mentioned in the central contract list of the BCCI, Group C is the last category. In this group, the players earn a salary of one crore each. Players like Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy Abhishek Sharma, Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurel, Sarafraz Khan, Ishan Kishan, Akash Deep and Varun Chakaravarthy in the Group C.
There are some players as well who failed to get the central contracts from the BCCI. Here are those names – Shardul Thakur, Jitesh Sharma, KS Bharath, Avesh Khan, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Umran Malik, Yash Dayal and Vidwath Kaverappa.
