Char Dham Yatra: The Char Dham Yatra is about to start in Uttarakhand and offline registration for it has started from today. There is a queue of devotees for registration in Haridwar since morning.
Every year lakhs of people from all over the country go on the Char Dham Yatra, which has great importance in Hinduism. This year also offline registration for Char Dham Yatra has started from 28 April. A total of 20 free registration counters have been set up in Haridwar.

Char Dham Yatra: Where Have the Centres Been Set Up?
The Char Dham Yatra is going to start from the last day of April, officially the pilgrimage will start on 30 April 2025. On this day the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri temples will be opened. The doors of Kedarnath Dham will open on May 2, while the doors of Badrinath Dham will open on May 4.
It is important to note that registration is mandatory for every pilgrim planning to undertake the Char Dham Yatra. The government has set up over 50 registration centres in various districts including Haridwar, Dehradun, Rishikesh, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi. Pilgrims must complete their registration at any of these centres before starting their journey.
Haridwar district tourism officer Sushil Nautiyal said, “Offline registration for the Char Dham Yatra has started from today. We have set up 20 counters for tourists, including separate counters for differently-abled persons, senior citizens and foreign nationals. Today is the first day of registration. The registration limit for today has been set at 1,000. This limit may be revised based on instructions received from higher authorities.”
Char Dham Yatra: Which Documents Are Required?
Pilgrims will have to carry their Aadhaar card during registration as it will be required at the registration counter, along with their mobile number. Additionally, if someone has any medical issues, they will also have to provide their medical history.
