Airtel Q1 Results: Telecom giant Bharti Airtel has reported a remarkable financial performance for the quarter ending June, driven by premium tariff structures, record additions in postpaid subscribers, and rapidly expanding 5G data consumption.
According to media reports, the company’s consolidated net profit jumped by 37.3% to reach ₹8,167 crore. Total quarterly revenue also experienced an 18.4% annual surge, climbing to ₹58,539 crore.
A key highlight of the financial results is Airtel’s industry-leading Average Revenue Per User (ARPU). As per news updates, the company’s monthly ARPU climbed to ₹264, up from ₹250 recorded in the corresponding period last year.

Unprecedented Postpaid Growth: Airtel added 10 lakh (1 million) net new postpaid users during the June quarter the highest quarterly postpaid addition in the corporation’s history. This milestone pushed the company’s total postpaid base past the 3 crore (30 million) mark.
Expanding 4G/5G Smartphone Base: Over the past year, Airtel added 2.11 crore smartphone data users, who now constitute nearly 80% of its overall mobile subscriber base.
Surge in Data Usage: Mobile data consumption registered a massive 36% annual growth, with average monthly data usage reaching 34.4 GB per subscriber.
Robust Momentum in Home Broadband and Enterprise Business
According to corporate filings highlighted by media reports, non-mobile operational segments delivered strong revenue acceleration:
Home Services Expansion: Revenue from the home broadband division surged by 33.2% year-on-year. The company onboarded 4.73 lakh new home connection customers during the quarter, expanding its total home subscriber ecosystem to 1.47 crore.
Enterprise Sector Growth: Airtel’s B2B enterprise segment recorded a 12% annual revenue uptick. The company has aggressively expanded its secure digital offerings for corporate clients through solutions like “Airtel Secure Workforce,” built on Zero Trust Architecture security frameworks.

To support rising 5G adoption and data demand, Airtel continued to invest heavily in telecom infrastructure. During the quarter, the operator added 1,579 new towers, deployed 14,540 mobile broadband base stations, and laid 45,171 kilometers of fiber network over the past year.
