Manifesto of BJP: Implementation of “CAA”, “UCC” Guaranteed

Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the party’s manifesto known as the “Sankalp Patra” for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti in the presence of Home Minister Amit Shah, Party President JP Nadda and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) gave a special message of respect for Baba Saheb’s followers and the Constitution.

In its 76-page manifesto touching fourteen key areas, the party has promised to implement one country, one election, a common voter list for every election, and a uniform civil code in five years.

BJP has emphasized on social, digital, and infrastructure, thereby laying the foundation for the coming 25 years. It has also promised to introduce a law against exam paper leaks.

Here are some of the promises the party mentioned in its manifesto

 

1) The BJP guaranteed to provide free ration to people below the poverty line for the next five years under the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.

2) Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme the senior citizens will be treated with free quality healthcare

3) Free electricity will be available through PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna, to help families.

4) The Bhartiya Janta Party claimed that they have given permanent houses to 4 crore families, and will provide it to 3 crore more.

5) BJP promised to systematically implement the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam to ensure representation for women in the Parliament and State Legislatures.

6) Implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act(CAA) was another key promise in the manifesto.

7) The BJP vowed that India will be the third largest economic power. Modi said, that with the right policies and planning they have brought India from 11th to 5th position in economic powers.

8) The Uniform Civil Code’s implementation was pledged by the BJP. “Introducing Uniform Civil Code: One of the Directive Principles of State Policy is the Uniform Civil Code, which is listed in Article 44 of the Constitution. According to the BJP, women should only be granted equal rights. The party also restated its commitment to creating a Uniform Civil Code that honors the greatest customs while bringing them into line with contemporary society.

9) The party promised to create infrastructure like women’s hostels and creches. It will also expand health services to ensure a healthy life for women and to reduce the cases of Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer, and anemia.
