Summon To Revanth Reddy: Amit Shah Fake Video Case

In connection with the doctored video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Delhi Police summoned Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Delhi Police had registered an FIR in this case on Sunday (April 28). It will interrogate Revanth on May 1.
In the notice issued by Delhi Police, Revanth, who is also the Congress’ Telangana unit president has been asked to appear with his mobile phone. According to sources, Reddy’s phone will also be examined.
Actually, Reddy had shared the fake video of Amit Shah from his X account. This video was shared by many party leaders including the official account of Telangana Congress. However, the post has now been removed from their social media accounts.

In the viral video, Shah is seen talking about ending the reservation for SC-ST and OBC. However, this video has been proved to be fake in the fact check.

Complaints By BJP And Home Ministry

The development comes after the Delhi Police registered a case on a complaint made by the BJP and the Home Ministry regarding making this edited video viral.
BJP has decided to register FIRs across the country regarding this video. On the other hand, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted that Ritom Singh had been arrested from Assam in this case.

BJP said in its complaint that Amit Shah has not said anything about ending reservations for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). The video that is being viral is fake. BJP alleged that in the original video, Amit Shah had talked about removing unconstitutional reservations for Muslims in Telangana.

Amit Malviya accused Telangana Congress

BJP’s IT cell head Amit Malviya posted this fake video shared by Telangana Congress on Facebook on April 27. He said that the Telangana Congress is spreading edited video, which is completely fake. There is a possibility of large-scale violence due to this.

He further said that this fake video has been shared by many Congress leaders, and now they should be ready for legal action.
