Mimicry artist Shyam Rangeela, a resident of Sriganganagar, has announced to contest elections against Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Varanasi. Since then he has become much talked about.
Rangeela says that he does not want the situation in Kashi to be like Surat or Indore. That is why he has decided to contest elections from here so that if the candidates of other parties withdraw their nomination or for some reason their nomination is canceled, then the residents of Varanasi should have some option other than BJP.
Who is Shyam Rangeela?
Shyam Rangeela’s real name is Shyam Sundar and he is a resident of Manaktheri village of Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan. He was born on 25 August 1994. Rangeela has been doing comedy since his school-college days and has expertise in mimicking people.
Due to his art, he also got a chance to participate in the TV show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, after which he made his name in every household. After this, Rangeela made a place in everyone’s hearts with the magic of his mimicry on social media.
It is noteworthy that today Rangeela used to imitate Narendra Modi, against whom he is contesting elections.
Shyam Rangeela entered politics in 2022 itself. He had associated himself with the Aam Aadmi Party in the last assembly elections, but after some time, he distanced himself from the party, expressing his desire to work independently. This time he has again entered the fray in the Lok Sabha elections but alone.

When the news of Shyam Rangeela contesting against Narendra Modi from Varanasi came into discussion, people took it as a joke. Everyone was surprised when Rangeela himself confirmed this by posting a video on his X account. He said in the video that he does not want a situation like Surat in Kashi and hence he has decided to contest in the elections. He further says that although he does not have much knowledge about filing nominations or contesting elections, he will not withdraw his nomination no matter what.
