T20 World Cup: In cricket, the batsmen dominate the game in all three formats. In the white ball formats like ODIs and T20Is, the batters can make full use of the fielding restriction overs which is called the first six overs of the powerplay and they can also give some lusty blows in the backend overs to post a highest total on the board or to chase down a target.

However, the bowlers in the T20 Internationals and One Day International format find it difficult because the white cherry doesn’t do much once it gets old. The white ball loses its seam and swing, that is why the batsmen fancy their chances to hit big shots and put the bowlers of their opposition teams under even more pressure.

In the T20 World Cup of this edition, India played their warm-up match and won it by a comprehensive margin against Bangladesh. In the ninth edition of the T20 World Cup in 2024, India’s opening game is versus the Irish Men on Wednesday, 5^th June 2024 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. T20 World Cup: The Top Run Getters From India In This ICC Event Of T20 International Format –

T20 World Cup: 1. Virat Kohli – 

The former Indian skipper is the highest run-getter for Team India in the history of the T20 World Cup. King Kohli has also been the highest-ever scorer in the Indian Premier League. Kohli is the permanent orange cap holder in that cash-rich league tournament and in this TATA IPL 2024 edition as well, he scored 741 runs which was the most this season.

The King has scored 1141 runs in the T20 World Cup and he has ranked one in this regard. From 2012 till the last edition of this ICC mega event of the shortest format in 2022, Virat has played 27 matches and 25 innings to score that many runs in this ICC tournament.

The Indian Run Machine even has the highest average of 81.50 in T20 World Cup history and his strike rate is 131.30. The King has also amassed the most fifties in the T20 World Cup. He has scored 14 centuries, which is the most in this T20I event.

T20 World Cup: 2. Rohit Sharma – 

The current skipper of Team India is the fourth-highest run-getter in the T20 World Cup events for the Men in Blue. HITMAN was part of the 2007 T20 World Cup winning team in South Africa, which India won under Mahendra Singh Dhoni and that is the only T20 Title India has won as of now.

Rohit has scored 963 runs in 39 matches and 36 innings with 9 half-centuries. Rohit had a strike rate of 127.88 and an average of 34.39 in the T20 World Cup. But in the last T29 World Cup of 2022 in Australia, the skipper didn’t do that well as get only scored 116 runs with only one half century in that edition as an opening batter and skipper of the side. In this edition of T20 World Cup, Rohit should  aim to do a better job.
