India’s Schedule: 3 Test Match Series Are In Line For The Men In Blue

India’s Schedule: India was the runner-up in the two back-to-back finals of the World Test Championship in 2021 and 2023. The Men in Blue lost the first-ever WTC finals in 2021 under the leadership of Virat Kohli versus New Zealand. In 2023, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, Australia won their maiden title in the Test match arena. Now again, India is yet to lose a red ball series.

In the new cycle of 2023 to 2025, India won the test series versus the West Indies in the Caribbean and England at home. But they drew the two-match red ball series versus South Africa in the Proteas Nation. South Africa is the only country where the Men in Blue are yet to win a series of the traditional format.

India had played their last game in the red ball format versus England at home and it has been approximately four months that they haven’t played any Test matches. The five-match series India won by a 4-1 margin against England ended on 11th March 2024 and since then, the Blues have played the IPL 2024 and the T20 World Cup 2024 in USA and West Indies.

Here are the 3 Test Match Series in line for the Men in Blue –

India is currently in Zimbabwe for a series of the shortest format. That five match T20I series will end this Sunday, 14th July 2024 at Harare Sports Club in Harare. Then the Men in Blue will tour Sri Lanka for another limited-overs format series. India’s tour of Sri Lanka will consist of 6 white ball games, 3 T20Is and 3 fifty overs matches, starting from 26th July 2024 at Pallekele.

1. Bangladesh Tour Of India 2024: 2 Match Test Series

1st Test Match will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from Thursday, September 19th 2024 to Monday, 23th September 2024. The match will start at 9.30 PM according to the Indian Standard Time and Local Time.

The 2nd and last Test of this two-match red ball series will be played at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur from Friday, 27th September 2024 to Tuesday, 1st October 2024. The match timings are 9.30 AM Indian Standard Time – IST and local, 4 AM GMT.

2. New Zealand Tour of India 2024: 3 Red Ball Matches 

The first game of this three-match red ball series will be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru from Wednesday, October 16th to Sunday, October 20th 2024. The second match of this series will be played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune from Thursday, 24th October 2024 to Monday, 28th 2024.

The third and final match of this red ball series will end at Mumbai in Wankhede Stadium. The third Test match will be played from Friday, November 1st 2024 to Tuesday, 5th November 2024. The match timing for all three red ball games is 9.30 AM Indian Standard Time (IST) and Local, 4 AM GMT.

3.    India Tour Of Australia: 5 Test Matches 

India’s tour of Australia later this year will be a stern Test for the Men in Blue. India has won two back-to-back series of the red ball format on Australian soil. In 2019 and 2021, India has scripted a history in Australia. Now on this tour to the Aussie nation, Rohit and his men would be eyeing their third back-to-back series win Down Under.

  • 1st Test Match will be played at Perth Stadium in Perth from Friday, 22nd November 2024 to Tuesday, 26th November 2024. This game will start at 8 AM Indian Standard Time (IST), 2.30 AM GMT and 10.30 PM Local Time.
  • 2nd Test Match will be played at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide from Friday, 6th December 2024 to Tuesday, 10th December 2024. This encounter will start at 9.30 AM Indian Standard Time (IST), 4 AM GMT and 2.30 PM Local Time.
  • 3rd Test Match will be played at The Gabba in Brisbane from Saturday, 14th December 2024 to Wednesday, 18th December 2024. The match timings for this game are – 5.30 AM Indian Standard Time (IST), 12 AM GMT and 10 AM Local Time.
  • The fourth red ball match will be the Boxing Day affair that will start from Thursday 26th December 2024 to Monday, 30th December 2024 at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The match will start at – 5.30 AM Indian Standard Time (IST), 12 AM GMT and 11 AM Local.
  • The fifth and last Test match between Australia Vs India will be played at Sydney Cricket Ground from Friday, 3rd January 2025 to Tuesday, 7th January 2025. The match will start at – 5.30 AM Indian Standard Time (IST), 12 AM GMT and 11 AM Local.
