Why Has The T20 International Match Between IND Vs BAN Moved From Dharamshala To Gwalior?

IND Vs BAN: The Men in Blue are on a long break of 42 days. They were in Sri Lanka to play the limited-over series of three T20Is and three One Day International matches. India lost an ODI series versus Sri Lanka after 27 long years. Now on 19th September 2024, India will resume their international duties.

India is scheduled to play two red ball matches and a three-match series in the shortest format when Bangladesh will tour India in September 2024. The first game will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai while the last match will be played at Green Park in Kanpur from 27th September 2024 to 1st October 2024.

The first T20 International of the three-match T20I series between IND Vs BAN was earlier scheduled to be played in Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala on 6th October 2024. However, because of the upgrade and renovation work in HPCA, the BCCI had announced the change in the venue.

The first game of the shortest format series will be played on the fixed date of 6th October 2024. The change is only in the venue. Instead of Dharamshala, that match will be played in the newly built ground of Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior. However, there is no change in the remaining matches of the T20I series. They will be played as scheduled in New Delhi and Hyderabad.

On Sunday, 6th October 2024, this T20 International game between IND Vs BAN will be the first International match since 2010 when the Master Blaster and God Of Cricket, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar became the first man on the planet Earth to score 200 runs in an ODI match that was played versus South Africa.

IND Vs BAN: The Venues For The 1st and 2nd T20I Versus England Has Also Been Changed – 

England Will Tour India For Limited Overs Series In 2025.

This year in 2024, England had toured India for a five-match series of the red ball format, which India won by a margin of 1-4. Next year again England will tour the Men in Blue nation for a white ball series. These two teams will face off in a five-match series of the shortest format and three-match series of the fifty-overs format.

The first match will be played on 22nd January 2025 while the last match of this T20 International series will be on Sunday, 2nd February 2025 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The three-match series of the fifty overs format will start in Nagpur on 6th February 2025 and the England tour of India in 2025 will end at Ahmedabad on 12th February 2025.

There are two more changes in the venues in the T20I series against England. The first match of the shortest format series was scheduled to be played in Chennai earlier and now it will be played in Kolkata while the second game will be hosted in Chennai.

But the dates of the last three T20I matches will remain the same alongside the dates, venues and fixtures of the three matches played in the One Day International format will also not change as of now.  Any changes in the matches between IND Vs BAN and India Vs England will be published on the website of Report Bharat.
