Shah Rukh Khan has topped the list of celebrity taxpayers for the fiscal year 2023-24, having paid ₹92 crore in income tax. He is followed by Tamil film actor Vijay, who paid ₹80 crore in income tax during the previous fiscal year. In the sports sector, the highest income tax payer is Virat Kohli, who has paid ₹66 crore, while former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is second with ₹38 crore in tax payments.
Income Tax Paid by Bollywood Stars
According to Fortune India’s list of celebrity taxpayers for the financial year 2023-24, King Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) has paid the highest income tax amounting to ₹92 crore. Actor Vijay follows with ₹80 crore in tax payments. Salman Khan is in third place with ₹75 crore, and Amitabh Bachchan is in fourth place with ₹71 crore. Ajay Devgn has paid ₹42 crore, and Ranbir Kapoor ₹36 crore in income tax.
The list also includes Pankaj Tripathi, who has paid ₹11 crore in income tax. Similarly, Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif have each paid ₹11 crore. Malayalam film actors Mohanlal and Allu Arjun have also made it to the list, each paying ₹14 crore in income tax.
Cricketers as Celebrity Taxpayers
The list of celebrity taxpayers for the financial year 2023-24 also features several cricketers. Virat Kohli leads with ₹66 crore in tax payments. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is second with ₹38 crore. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has paid ₹28 crore, and Hardik Pandya has paid ₹13 crore in income tax.
