Due to the rains, the second match of this series had a delayed start, and the toss wasn’t even done. The 2nd match started one hour late. Instead of starting at 9.30 AM according to the Indian Standard Time (IST), the match started at 10.30 AM IST (Indian Standard Time). Then the game also ended early because of persistent rains in Kanpur.

Just like the first Test Match, We Shall Bring You The Top Two Performers Of Day One Of The First Test Match Between IND Vs BAN At Green Park In Kanpur  –

1. Akash Deep –

This 27-year-old pace bowler from Bihar might just be two Test matches and 3 innings old. But he has been a consistent learner and his hunger to become successful is what makes him better day by day. Akash Deep had also picked up two in two wickets in the 1st innings of the first Test match in Chennai and here in Kanpur, Bangladesh had started steadily when they were asked to bat first.

Jasprit Bumrah, India’s spearhead took the new ball in the first over and at the other end, Mohammed Siraj shared the new red cherry with Boom Boom Bumrah. But both these players couldn’t pick up an early wicket and it was Akash Deep who struck again in the first over and he was also helped by Yashaswi Jaiswal, who picked up a good catch. On the rain-hit day one, Akash picked up two scalps while Ashwin got one wicket to his name.

2. Mominul Haque –

Mominul Haque

The former skipper of Bangladesh didn’t get enough runs in the 1st match of this series. He scored 0 and 13 runs in the match played in Chennai. But the visitors need runs from their middle-order batters and that’s where Mominul Haque bats for his country. Mominul needs to step up and use his experience to guide Bangladesh against a top-quality Indian bowling attack.

At Kanpur, Haque had got a start to himself. On the first day, he has been unbeaten on 40 runs from 81 deliveries with four boundaries. With him, Mushfiqur Rahim is not out on 6 runs.
