IndiGo Airlines’ online passenger service system has been started after about 6 hours (around 6 pm). The airline’s system crashed today (October 5) at around 12:00 noon.
The airline shared a post on social media platform X and said, ‘Our airport systems are now operational and our airport services have also become smooth. However, we request you to support us while restoring our other applications.
Although it may take some time to achieve complete normalcy, we look forward to providing you with a seamless experience soon. Thank you for your understanding and patience.’
People were troubled due to the increased crowd at the airport.
During this time people were not able to book and check in airline tickets online. Flight and ground services at airports were also affected. Due to this, long queues of passengers were seen at airports across the country. The airline gave information about the problem, but due to no alternative arrangements for the passengers, they were waiting at the airports for hours.
The website and booking systems were affected.
Earlier, IndiGo shared a post and said we want to tell you that our dedicated airport teams are trying to provide the best possible assistance and support to the customers affected by the system outage. They are committed to reducing the waiting time at the check-in counter and ensuring a smooth experience for all.
IndiGo Airlines said the problem was due to a system slowdown
The airline had said, ‘We are currently facing a temporary system slowdown in our network. Due to this, our website and booking system are being affected. Due to this, customers may face an increase in waiting time, including slow check-in and long queues at the airport.
Our airport teams are dedicated to assisting everyone and providing a smooth journey. Don’t worry, we are working quickly to fix the system as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.’
