TVS Apache RTR 160 4V New Variant Launched

TVS Motor India today (November 19) launched a new top variant of its popular bike Apache RTR 160 4V. The company set the price of the new variant at Rs 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This variant boasts the highest price among the bike’s options. Customers can now choose from a total of 7 variants of the Apache RTR 160 4V. The new variant will compete with the Hero Extreme 160R, Honda Hornet 2.0, Pulsar N160, and Pulsar NS160.

The designers have introduced this new variant with shining golden colour upside down (USD) front forks, stubbier bullpup exhaust, and three new colour options. These options include granite grey, matte black, and pearl white. Additionally, the updated bike features race-inspired graphics and red colour alloy wheels to create a sporty look.

TVS Apache RTR’s Design: Instrument console that supports Bluetooth

The look of the new variant of Apache RTR 160 4V is similar to the current model. It has a muscular fuel tank, single-piece seat, split grab rail, adjustable brake and clutch lever. The bike has an instrument console supporting Bluetooth and an aggressive LED headlight with LED DRL.

TVS Apache RTR’s Performance: Top speed of 114kmph in Sport mode

There has been no mechanical change in the bike. The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has a 159.7cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve air/oil-cooled engine for performance, which is connected to a 5-speed gearbox for transmission. It comes with three riding modes – Urban, Rain and Sport.

The engine generates 15.64 PS of power and 14.14 Nm of maximum torque in Urban and Rain modes. At the same time, it generates 17.55 PS of power and 14.73 Nm of maximum torque in Sport mode. The top speed of the bike is 103kmph in Urban and Rain modes and 114kmph in Sport mode. It also gets Glide Through Technology (GTT) with race tuned fuel injection system, adjustable clutch and brake lever.

Braking, Suspension and Features

For comfortable riding, the top variant of Apache RTR 160 4V has a new upside-down (USD) fork in the front and an adjustable mono-shock unit in the rear. For braking, a 240mm disc brake is available on the rear wheel.

Talking about the features, the motorcycle will get a TVS SmartConnect system. It includes features like turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alert, race telemetry, adjustable brake and clutch lever, lean angle mode, crash alert, low fuel warning and voice assist.
