Sharing a video clip of the event on X, BJP leader Amit Malviya alleged that Rahul Gandhi was distracted during the national anthem.

BJP Leader Amit Malviya Shares Videos

Amit Malviya shared two videos from the event. In one, Rahul Gandhi was seen looking sideways while the national anthem was playing, while other leaders stood at attention, either looking straight ahead or downward.

In another video, Rahul Gandhi was seated while President Droupadi Murmu and other leaders were standing on stage. The video also showed Rahul Gandhi walking off the stage without greeting President Murmu.

In the video shared by Malviya, Rahul Gandhi, standing at the edge of the stage, was seen trying to get down as soon as the national anthem ended, while other leaders were paying respect to President Murmu.

Sharing another video, Malviya wrote, “Congress always insults President Droupadi Murmu because she is the first tribal woman to hold the highest post in the country. This shows that Rahul and the Gandhi family have disdain for SC, ST and OBC communities.”

Rahul Gandhi’s Alleged Behavior Sparks Online Debate

Rahul Gandhi’s alleged actions sparked a debate online. Some argued that his behaviour stemmed from prejudice against the President because of his tribal background, while others called it arrogance.

Some linked it to his frustration after the Congress’s defeat in the Maharashtra elections. So far, neither Rahul Gandhi nor any other Congress leader has responded to the BJP’s allegations.
