Pakistan’s Involvement in the Violence

It is alleged that Pakistan’s high commission in Dhaka has become a center for meetings with radical organizations like Jamaat-e-Islami and Khilafat Majlis. Since November, over 3,000 attacks on Hindus have been recorded, many of which are believed to involve Jamaat extremists. The involvement of Pakistani groups has raised questions about their role in instigating these acts of violence.

Increasing Hindu-Hating Activities Under Yunus Government

Pakistan’s Role in the Persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh: Under the leadership of the Yunus government, anti-Hindu and anti-India activities have increased significantly. The BNP party, led by Khaleda Zia, has launched campaigns to burn Indian goods and boycott Indian products. Anti-India rallies have been organized in Dhaka, Chattogram, and Mymensingh University. These actions have been fueled by a political environment that has moved away from secularism, with the government removing secular principles from the constitution and supporting jihadist groups.

Bangladesh on the Path to Becoming Another Pakistan?

Many are concerned that Bangladesh is heading in the direction of becoming another Pakistan. In recent changes, the image of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of Bangladesh, has been removed from currency notes, and the picture of the July student movement has been introduced instead. Moreover, radical elements have overlooked Rabindranath Tagore, the composer of the national anthem, and declared Kazi Nazrul Islam as the national poet.

The United States has expressed concern over the persecution of Hindus, calling it alarming. India has strongly condemned the attacks, warning that if the violence continues to escalate, it could lead to increased border tensions and further unrest in the region.
