OnePlus has given a big relief to its customers by announcing a lifetime warranty for problems related to green line on the display of all its smartphones.
This means that if your OnePlus smartphone faces the problem of green line, the company will fix it for free.
Many users have complained about the green line problem in OnePlus smartphones. In such cases, users had only two options: either pay for a screen replacement or continue using the phone with the problem. They had to spend money to get the screen repaired.
Tackling Green Line Problem
The green line issue is a big one, especially because it is mostly seen in phones whose warranty has expired. The Green Line lifetime warranty will cover not only new smartphones but also older devices. The company shared this information under Project Starlight.
The company also announced that by 2026, it plans to increase the number of its service centers by 50%. Additionally, it is working on improving its display technology.
OnePlus has said that they are integrating better edge bonding layers with AMOLED displays, using better PVX edge sealing material for better performance.
Consumer Trust Set to Grow
Due to PUX, the display becomes more durable, offering consumers a better experience. OnePlus mentioned that one of their main tests is the “Double 85,” where the display is used for an extended period under conditions of 85°C and 85% humidity.
OnePlus’ warranty is expected to increase users’ trust in the brand. In recent years, many OnePlus smartphones have faced this problem. But through technology, testing, and warranty coverage, OnePlus is working to eliminate the green line problem.
