Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given an important statement in Parliament on the question asked by Congress MP Adoor Prakash regarding the law on AI. The harm and danger caused by AI is being discussed all over the world. Therefore, many countries have started making rules and laws for this. India is also active in this direction. Regarding this, on Wednesday, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said in the Lok Sabha that if the House and the society agree, we can make a law for the use of AI. All that is needed is consensus. He said that the Modi government believes in the democratization of technology.

Laws on the use of AI in more than 37 countries

Let us tell you that till now more than 37 countries like Singapore, China, Canada have prepared AI governance frameworks to protect transparency, data security and human rights. While China has made identification of deepfake content mandatory, on the other hand, the US and Canada have emphasized on data privacy and ethics. In India too, a task force has been formed to make legal recommendations on this issue.

Along with this, some time ago, Prime Minister Modi also expressed concern over deepfake videos during a conversation with Bill Gates and suggested putting a watermark on AI generated things. So that people can know the difference between true and false.

Spam messages will be banned before the law on the use of AI

The purpose of implementing this system is to prevent spam and clarify the entire chain of each commercial message reaching the user. This rule also helps in preventing online fraud. According to TRAI, 90% of the operators sending commercial messages have registered themselves. 120 crore mobile users will benefit.
