India’s Test Match Schedule In 2025: After two disappointing series, one at home against New Zealand and one away against the Aussies, India even started their New Year of 2025 with a loss in the New Year’s Test match at Sydney Cricket Ground against Australia.
India dominated the World Test Championship points table for most of the time and finished third because of two consecutive red ball series losses. Now, in 2025, India will aim to improve its performance later this year. After their defeat at SCG, the Men in Blue will play a red ball series in England in July 2025.

India’s Test Match Schedule In 2025: India Will Play 3 Red Ball Series This Year –
Even though, India started this year with a loss in the red-ball match. But still, they have three series to be played this season and these Test match series will be part of the new World Test Championship cycle of 2025 to 2027. According to this cycle, India’s first series will be against England on their tour in 2025.

The Caribbean side, West Indies will also tour India and play a two-match series of the red ball format. The last time that the Windies played a red ball match in India was way back in 2018 and that was also a series of two Test matches, which the visitors lost by a margin of 2-0.
India’s last red ball series in 2025 will be against The Proteas. South Africa will play a series of two-match series of the red ball form of the game in The Men In Blue nation. It was in 2019 that South Africa had come to India and played a red ball series. India whitewashed The Proteas in that series.
Apart from the red ball series against England, the dates, venues, and timings of the other two Test series have not been announced yet by the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI). The two-match Test series against West Indies is scheduled to be played in October 2025 and the series versus the Proteas, South Africa will be played in December 2025.
