Smith completed his 10,000 runs in 205 innings of the red ball format and he is the fifth fastest to achieve this milestone. Brian Lara, Sachin Tendulkar and Kumara Sangakkara scored their 10,000 runs in 195 innings while Ricky Pointing scored 10k runs in 196 innings.
