February GST Collection: In February, gross GST collections surged by 9.1% to approximately ₹1.84 lakh crore, according to official data released on Saturday. The total Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue includes ₹1.42 lakh crore from domestic sources, showing a growth of 10.2%, and ₹41,702 crore from imports, showing a rise of 5.4%.
According to PTI reports, the breakdown of GST revenue for the month is as follows:
- Central GST (CGST): ₹35,204 crore
- State GST (SGST): ₹43,704 crore
- Integrated GST (IGST): ₹90,870 crore
- Compensation Cess: ₹13,868 crore
GST: Total Refunds Stood at ₹20,889 Crore
According to reports, the total refunds issued in February stood at Rs 20,889 crore, which is 17.3% higher than the same period last year.
Net GST collection grew by 8.1% to around ₹1.63 lakh crore in February 2025. Gross and net GST revenue in February 2024 were ₹1.68 lakh crore and ₹1.50 lakh crore, respectively.
