International Cricket: In the modern era of International Cricket, the batters are skilled and trained to deposit the ball out of the park. Now, hitting sixes is fun, and that’s what attracts the crowds. The live audience in the stadiums and at home enjoy watching when a batter hits a six.
But hitting that one six isn’t as easy as it looks on television sets and mobile apps. A batter develops his power hitting abilities through a combination of strong lower body strength, proper batting technique, hand-eye coordination drills, and specific hitting exercises.
However, there are some batsmen who have deposited all the deliveries in the stands in one over, means, six balls. These batters were world class players for their respective nations during their careers. In this segment, today, we shall name the 3 batters who have achieved this rare feat in their International Cricket careers.

3. Kieron Pollard –

The power hitter batter from the Caribbean, Kieron Pollard was the batsman who smashed six sixes in an over. Pollard achieved this feat in the series of the shortest format against the Sri Lankan Tigers in 2021. Sri Lanka’s Akila Dananjaya was the bowler who went for 36 runs in a single over because the West Indian power hitter showed his class in that single over. Due to this magic knock from Kieron, West Indies won that match when they chased a modest score of 131 runs with 41 deliveries to spare.
2. Yuvraj Singh –

Each and every Indian fan will remember the six sixes smashed by Yuvraj Singh. In the 2007 T20 World Cup, which was played in South Africa, Yuvi had a heated argument with England’s former star all-rounder Andrew Flintoff, which set the tone for things to come.
Unfortunately, it was Stuart Broad was the bowler to whom Yuvi Paa smashed six sixes in that league match of the T20 WC in 2007. Singh showed his full range of stroke play as he hit those sixes all round the ground and because of that, Yuvraj Singh earned a big name in International Cricket.
1. Herschelle Gibbs –

Before this player from South Africa, no batter had smashed six sixes in one over of International Cricket. It was Sir Gary Sobbers and Ravi Shastri, who achieved this feat. But in domestic cricket and not in International Cricket. In the 2007 fifty overs World Cup, Gibbs became the first batter from International Cricket to achieve this feat. He smashed the Netherlands leg spinner Daan van Bunge all over the park.
