Delhi Assembly Elections: As the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 draw closer, political parties are intensifying their preparations. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suffered a setback just before the upcoming elections.

Balbir Singh, a longtime member of the Gurdwara Sikh Management Committee and a six-time member of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, joined the BJP on Saturday, December 21.

Balbir Singh officially joined the BJP in the presence of Delhi BJP president Virendraa Sachdeva, Delhi BJP general secretary Ashish Sood and Union minister Harsh Malhotra.

Along with him, former AAP MLA from Mundka Dr Sukhbir Singh Dalal also joined the BJP on the same day and accused his former party leaders of incompetence.

Delhi Assembly Elections: Sukhbir Singh Dalal Criticizes AAP After Joining BJP

After joining BJP, former AAP leader Sukhbir Singh Dalal criticized Arvind Kejriwal and said, “I am a leader from rural areas and want to work for the villages. When I was in Aam Aadmi Party, I repeatedly tried to meet Arvind Kejriwal on the issue of Sports University. Despite being an MLA, Kejriwal never met me.”

He further said, “The Arvind Kejriwal government has done nothing but spread lies in the last 10 years. Even in the case of the Sports University, they have only made false claims. The university to be built at a cost of Rs 2,100 crore exists only on paper. A vice-chancellor and professors have been appointed and are being paid salaries for the last five years, but not a single brick has been laid yet.”

Delhi Assembly Elections: Balbir Singh Alleges Corruption in AAP

After joining the BJP, Sardar Balbir Singh from Vivek Vihar said, “On one hand, the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi is completely immersed in corruption. On the other hand, the Modi government at the Centre has not only uplifted the country at the domestic level but has also increased India’s prestige at the global level.”
