Actually, Pakistan’s ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahsan Wagan had gone to America on a private visit, but he was not allowed entry. Despite having a valid visa, he was sent back from Los Angeles airport.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said that the ambassador had all the necessary documents, yet he was not allowed to enter America.

Pakistan’s Stand on this Matter

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has expressed dissatisfaction over the incident. A senior Foreign Ministry official has confirmed that Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahsan Wagan has been deported from the US.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Secretary Amna Baloch have been informed about the incident. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry has directed its consulate in Los Angeles to investigate the matter.

Ahsan Wagan has held several key positions in Pakistan’s foreign service. Before being promoted as Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Wagan served as the Second Secretary at the Pakistani Embassy in Kathmandu.

Possible Strain in Diplomatic Relations

This situation is particularly complex because high-level diplomats and government officials usually have special diplomatic passports, which are subject to different visa and entry requirements than ordinary citizens.

Such incidents can affect diplomatic relations, especially if not dealt with transparently. Ahsan Wagan was travelling from the United States on a specific diplomatic mission, making his deportation a significant setback.

Wagan Has Also Served in Nepal

Wagan has held several important positions in Pakistan’s foreign service. Before being promoted as ambassador to Turkmenistan, he worked as second secretary in the Pakistani embassy in Kathmandu.
