Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal filed a petition in the Supreme Court. In the petition, Kejriwal has demanded an extension of his interim bail by 7 days. The party claims that Kejriwal will have to undergo several tests along with a PET-CT scan, for which he has requested 7 days’ time.

It should be noted that the court had granted Kejriwal bail for 21 days for his party’s election campaign, which is ending on June 1, and he has been directed to surrender on June 2. The court’s decision was based on considering Kejriwal as Delhi’s CM and AAP as a national party. When people and the opposition questioned the decision to grant bail to the Delhi Chief Minister, the court responded, “There is no doubt that serious allegations have been made against him, but he has not been declared guilty yet. Furthermore, he has no criminal history, nor is he a danger to society, hence he has been granted bail for his party’s campaign during the elections.” Now, Arvind Kejriwal has filed a petition in court to extend his bail .

AAP leader Atishi’s statement on this matter sheds light

When asked about this issue with AAP leader Atishi, she said, “During the ED’s custody, the CM’s weight decreased by 7 kilograms, and suddenly losingthis much weight has worried the doctors. Despite being out of custody and under medical supervision, his weight has not came back to normal. Preliminary tests have shown that his ketone levels are very high. High ketone levels, along with sudden unexplained weight loss, can be indicators of serious medical conditions such as kidney damage and cancer.” Therefore, doctors have suggested that he must undergo various tests, including a full-body PET scan and other serious examinations.

Why didn’t Arvind Kejriwal get tested earlier?

The question arises as to why Kejriwal did not undergo these tests earlier. It should be noted that Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was granted bail by the court on May 10. During this time, he was actively campaigning for his party. So, why didn’t he get these necessary tests done then? Let’s assume for a moment that he prioritized his party and couldn’t find time for his own health, but what justification does he have for extending bail by 7 days now? A PET-CT scan takes at most a day, so why seven days? We’re not saying this, Google is.

Now, it remains to be seen whether the court accepts or rejects Arvind Kejriwal’s petition.
