More than 20 electric cars have been introduced in the Auto Expo 2025 going on at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. Brands like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mercedes, BMW, BYD have introduced their vehicles in the expo.
On the first day, Maruti-Suzuki revealed the electric car e-Vitara. At the same time, Hyundai Motor India launched its cheapest electric car Creta EV. Viway Mobility launched India’s first solar powered car Eva on the second day of the expo.
Vietnam company Vinfast has entered India with two electric cars. Tata Motors has introduced the Bandipur edition of Nexon EV. This special edition model is dedicated to Karnataka‘s Bandipur National Park which is known for tigers and elephants.
The event started on January 17 will continue till January 22.

Auto Expo 2025: 19kg foldable scooter can lift up to 120kg
Honda has showcased its foldable e-scooter Moto Compacto at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025. Its price in the US is $995 i.e. Rs 86,143. There is currently no information about its launch in India.
The special thing is that this scooter weighs only 19 kg, but a person weighing up to 120kg can travel comfortably on it. This scooter comes with a water resistance warranty. That is, you can easily drive it even in a place with water.
Moto Compacto becomes equal to a suitcase when folded
The design of Moto Compacto has been kept very simple. It is a foldable e-scooter. When the seat, handlebar and wheel are folded, it becomes equal to a suitcase, making it easy to carry around.
The e-scooter has minimal styling elements on its body with very small Honda branding. It is 742mm long, 94mm wide and 536mm high. The wheelbase of the e-scooter is just 742mm and the seat height is 622mm.
Top speed 24.14kmph, charging 3:30 hours The Moto Compacto has a permanent magnet direct-drive motor, which generates a maximum power of 490W and a torque of 16Nm. The range of the e-scooter is 19.31 km and the top speed is 24.14kmph. It has a 0.7 kWh battery pack, which can be charged in 3 hours and 30 minutes via a 110V socket.
