Barinder Sran: At the age of just 31 years, many players still focus on staying in their careers. Nowadays, a cricket player can make a living in sports through the Indian Premier League. It is not like the olden days when the players depended only on International Cricket to earn their bread and butter.

Despite that, a 31-year-old fast bowler, Barinder Sran has announced his retirement from domestic and International cricket formats.
Sran was part of just six one-day international matches and two matches of the shortest format for India. He made his debut under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni in 2016. The left-arm pace bowler debuted in the fifty overs format versus the Aussies at Perth and picked up 7 scalps in the ODI format.
Barinder Sran ’s T20 International debut was versus Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club in Harare. He ended his career in the shortest format with 6 wickets. This pace bowler from Sirsa also played the T20 league called the Indian Premier League and got 18 wickets from 24 IPL matches.

Barinder Sran denied King Kohli getting the milestone of 1000 runs in a single season of that cash-rich league tournament. In the edition of 2016, Kohli scored 973, which is still the most runs amassed by a batter in a single season of this T20 event. Kohli also smashed four centuries as well.
Barinder Sran played the Indian Premier League for many franchise teams like Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab which is now called Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals. He was the net bowler for Gujarat Titans as well. His last competitive game was in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2021.
Barinder Sran had just an experience of 8 List A matches. But he was an impressive talent and that was why The BCCI decided to hand a debut in a fifty overs game in 2016 versus Australia at Perth and later Sran also played two T20 International matches for The Men In Blue.
Another main highlighting fact from Barinder Sran’s career was that he had clean bowled Virat Kohli for 54 runs in the 2016 IPL final which allowed the Orange Army to lift their only title of this tournament so far. Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle were the only top scorers in that IPL game for RCB. Barinder Sran had got an important wicket in that big final.
Barinder Sran’s figures 4 wickets for 10 runs in a T20 International game for India versus Zimbabwe on his first ever T20I match which was played in 2016 restricted the batters of Zimbabwe to just 99 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted quo ta of 20 overs and that low score was chased down by the Indian openers quite easily in the end. India won that match by 10 wickets and Sran was named the player of the match award for his brilliant bowling performance.
