The Khujli Gang: A New Robbery Tactic
While walking in the market, especially during the rainy season, you might experience itching due to various bacteria. However, it’s now crucial to pay attention to this itching. A gang of thieves known as the Khujli Gang has started using itching powder as a medium for theft in Delhi. Their method is quite different from that of common thieves.
The Modus Operandi of the Khujli Gang
Around 12 years ago, it was discovered in Delhi that a gang of thieves used itching powder to commit robberies. Although this gang had disappeared for a while, they have now become active once again.
This gang’s method involves sprinkling powder on a person, causing the person’s body to itch. When the victim starts scratching and becomes distracted, the gang seizes the opportunity to steal their belongings and quickly escapes.
First Incident Reported
The first case of this type of theft was reported in Sadar Bazar, Delhi. A person walking through Sadar Bazar had powder sprinkled on him. As soon as he moved forward, his body started itching badly. He took off his shirt under the cover of a car to clean himself. At this moment, the gang surrounded him, and one of the thieves stole all his belongings. This incident was captured on CCTV footage of a shop in Sadar Bazar.
Current Situation
