More than 80 schools in Delhi-NCR received a bomb threat email on Wednesday morning. Police are investigating to find out the source of the email. Central agencies are also looking into this matter. In the preliminary investigation, this case is aimed at spreading fear among children and parents. However, all the school premises were evacuated as a precaution.
Schools received a bomb threat
Officials confirmed that Information regarding the bomb was received by many schools including Delhi Public School, Dwarka, Mayur Vihar’s Mother Mary’s, Amity Saket and Pushp Vihar, DPS Noida, Vasant Kunj, RK Puram, and Sanskriti schools.
The bomb threat was a rumor
According to Joint Police Commissioner Shiv Hari Meena, upon receiving the information of a threatening e-mail, a thorough investigation of the school premises was conducted by the police team. As per the investigation so far the threat was just a rumour.
The management decided to send the children home as a precautionary measure
After receiving the mail threatening to blow up the school, the management decided to send the children back to their home safely. It has informed the parents about this through messages and phone calls as a precautionary measure.
After this, the parents reached outside the school premises in large numbers, due to which Police have been deployed outside the schools to avoid tension among them.
Delhi LG posted on X
Delhi lieutenant governor VK Saxena posted on X, requesting parents not to worry. He has also spoken to the Police Commissioner and asked for a detailed report on the bomb threat in schools of Delhi-NCR.

The school premises have been evacuated by sending students home and those premises are being searched by the Delhi Police. So far no one has been found in any school. Nothing was found.
