Must read

In July, many SIM users faced inflation due to significant price hikes by major telecom companies in India. The cost of both postpaid and prepaid recharge plans increased, leading to higher expenses for consumers. However, the government-owned telecom company BSNL did not raise its prices, resulting in offering much cheaper plans compared to other providers. As a result, many people switched to BSNL from Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone-Idea, which had raised their recharge plan prices by up to 35%.

Lakhs of people bought BSNL SIM

BSNL has set a new record in the country due to this situation. The popularity of it has surged rapidly in Andhra Pradesh, where over one lakh SIM cards of the company have been activated in the last 20 days. This indicates a growing customer base for BSNL. The company seized this opportunity by enhancing its network capacity to accommodate the increased demand, building new towers, and introducing attractive offers on its data plans and other services.

Sudden increase in customer base

With the rising customer base in Andhra Pradesh, BSNL aims to continue expanding its presence in the state and offer better connectivity at lower costs. This trend is not limited to Andhra Pradesh; people in many other states are also switching from the major telecom companies to BSNL, either by porting their existing SIMs or purchasing new ones.

Meanwhile, BSNL is encouraging people to switch from expensive SIM plans to its more affordable options to boost its customer support. The company is also working diligently to launch 4G services nationwide as soon as possible, aiming to provide high-quality services at competitive prices.
