BYD eMAX 7: BYD India has launched the new electric MPV eMAX in the Indian market today. This is the facelift version of the BYD E6 electric MPV, which has been introduced with a new name, updated design, new features, and better range than before. BYD claims that the car runs 530 km on a single full charge.
The electric MPV has been introduced in two variants Premium and Superior. Its starting price has been finalized at Rs 26.90 lakh for the 6-seater Premium and Rs 29.90 lakh for the 7-seater Superior variant. These prices are introductory, ex-showroom pan-India. The cost of Emax 7 is Rs 2.25 lakh less than the BYD E6.
8 years or 1.6 lakh km battery warranty will be available
The electric MPV comes with 8 8-year / 1.6 lakh km battery warranty and 8 8-year / 1.5 lakh km motor warranty. There is no direct electric car in India in the segment below Rs 30 lakh that competes with the BYD eMax 7. However, it can be purchased as an electric alternative to the Toyota Innova Highcross and Toyota Innova Crysta.
BYD eMAX 7 Exterior- Four color options are available
The BYD eMax 7 has updated LED headlamps and a grille similar to the Eto 3. The company has also updated its bumper and new internal lighting elements have been given in its headlamps. The body shape of the car is similar to the E6, but it has new 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, sleek LED tail lamps have been given, which are connected by a thin chrome strip. The electric MPV is available in four color options. These include Quartz Blue, Cosmos Blue, Crystal White, and Harbor Gray.
BYD eMAX 7 Interior- Dual-tone black and brown interior theme will be available
The BYD eMax cabin has a dual-tone black and brown interior theme. The dashboard of the car is in all-black color, which has been given a chrome strip to give it a sporty touch. The car has been introduced in 6 and 7-seater options and its seats have brown leatherette upholstery.
Soft-touch leatherette has also been installed on its door pads. Chrome inserts have been given on the steering wheel. These chrome elements are also seen on the AC vents and doors. Ambient lighting has also been given on its doors. Its driver seat can be adjusted electrically in 6 ways, while the co-driver seat is adjusted electrically in 4 ways.
Performance- Range up to 530 km on full charge
BYD eMax 7 comes with two battery pack options. The premium variant has a 55.4kWh battery, which gives a range of 420km on full charge. At the same time, the superior variant has a 71.8kWh battery, which gives a range of 530km on charging.
Both variants of the eMax 7 come with a 7kW AC charger. At the same time, DC fast chargers up to 89kW for the Premium variant and up to 115kW for the Superior are supported. Vehicle-to-load charging is also provided in the eMax 7, which can power other devices.
Features- 6 airbags and 360-degree camera
The 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, and digital driver display are available. For safety, it has six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS technology in the Superior variant. Both variants have major features like cruise control and automatic climate control.
