Champions Trophy 2025: The Champions Trophy is slowly drawing closer, with the tournament scheduled to begin on February 19. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to announce the Team India squad.
Now, the BCCI is all set to make the announcement. Team India’s lineup for the Champions Trophy will be announced tomorrow, Saturday, January 18.

Team India to Face England Before Champions Trophy
Before the Champions Trophy, Team India will also play a white ball series against England, which includes 5 T20 and 3 ODI matches. The T20 series is to start from January 22, for which Team India has been announced, but the ODI team is yet to be announced. Team India’s team for the ODI against England and the Champions Trophy will be announced together.
After the selection meeting, there will be a press conference at 12:30 pm. Indian captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar will be present in this conference.
Champions Trophy 2025: India to Face Bangladesh in Opening Match on February 20
The Champions Trophy 2025 will be held from February to March. The tournament will start on February 19 and its final will be held on March 9.
In this tournament hosted by Pakistan, the Indian team will play all its matches in Dubai. 8 teams will participate in this tournament which have been divided into two groups: Group A and Group B.
India has been placed in Group A along with Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand. India’s first match will be against Bangladesh on February 20.
India Won the Champions Trophy in 2013
It is worth noting that Team India won the Champions Trophy title in 2013 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. However, in the 2017 Champions Trophy, India had to face defeat in the final against England. Now it will be interesting to see how Team India performs in this year’s tournament.
