Chhava Becomes Bollywood’s Biggest Film of the Year
‘Chhava’ showed its power on the first Monday at the box office. After collecting Rs 121 crore over the weekend, the film’s earnings remained strong on Monday as well.
Chhava earned ₹49 crores on Sunday and Monday’s trade reports show that the film’s collections have dropped by only 50% compared to Sunday. Vicky Kaushal’s film earned ₹24 crores in net collections on Monday.
With this, Chhava’s total collections have crossed ₹145 crores in just four days. With this collection, Chhava has surpassed Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force (₹130 crores) and has become the biggest Bollywood film of the year.
Chhava Breaks Record Set by Pushpa 2 in Maharashtra
Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is greatly respected in Maharashtra and this is the reason why the craze for Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is at a different level here. The popularity of the film has increased so much in Maharashtra that it has even broken the record of Allu Arjun’s blockbuster film Pushpa 2.
According to reports, Chhava earned around ₹2.04 crores on Sunday at MovieMax cinema chain which has the maximum number of theatres in Maharashtra. Whereas, Pushpa 2 (Hindi) earned ₹2.01 crores on its first Sunday at the same cinema chain.
Pushpa 2 (Hindi) had a total collection of Rs 21.44 crore on its first Sunday in Maharashtra, while Chhava surpassed it by collecting over Rs 23 crore.
