Delhi Assembly Elections: The dates for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 will be announced today i.e. on January 7. According to sources, the elections are likely to be held in a single phase.
The Election Commission is planning to conduct the elections in the second week of February, the results of which are expected to be declared on February 17.
The Election Commission is scheduled to hold a press conference at 2 pm today to give detailed information about the upcoming election process and its related aspects.
On Monday, January 6, the Election Commission of India (ECI) released the final voter list for the Delhi Assembly elections. The list includes a total of 1,55,24,858 registered voters, including 84,49,645 male voters and 71,73,952 female voters.

Preparations for the Upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections in Full Swing
The term of the Delhi Assembly is set to end on February 15, 2025. Reflecting on the previous assembly elections, Delhi also went to polls in February 2020, in which the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won a landslide victory and formed the government. As the end of the current term is drawing near, preparations for the upcoming elections in Delhi are gaining momentum.
Kejriwal to Contest Again from New Delhi
Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will once again contest from the New Delhi Assembly seat. This time he will face Congress’ Sandeep Dikshit and BJP’s Parvesh Verma. Kejriwal has been continuously contesting elections from this seat and has a strong hold in this area.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Atishi is contesting from the Kalkaji seat, where she will face Congress’s Alka Lamba and BJP’s former MP Ramesh Bidhuri.
