Delhi-NCR Pollution: AQI Hits 396 in ‘Very Poor’ Category
According to the daily AQI bulletin provided by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi’s AQI stood at 396 today, indicating the ‘very poor’ category (AQI between 301-400).
The CAQM sub-committee on GRAP found that Delhi’s AQI, which was recorded at 275 on January 14, 2025, increased significantly to 396 on January 15, 2025. This jump is due to dense fog and low temperatures, which have greatly reduced the mixing height and ventilation coefficient, thereby limiting the dispersion of pollutants.

- Only trucks associated with essential services will be exempted.
