A controversy has erupted over a statue of Lord Ganesh in Hyderabad’s Sikandarabaad. People have protested against the statue of Lord Ganesh being in a Muslim avatar. However, the organizers of the festival said that the theme of this festival was inspired by the film “Bajirao Mastani”. But the final presentation was not as expected, due to which people got confused.
How is the statue?
This statue of Ganesh is dressed in a green kurta and yellow dhoti. Along with this, he is also wearing a black cap. A lot of controversy had erupted over this cap. After which a cap of another pattern was worn in its place. In such a situation, the Youth Association in the city says that the theme of the film Bajirao Mastani was chosen for the Ganesh festival, but the output of the theme was not right and people misunderstood us. He further said that he does not want to comment on this.
When will the immersion take place?
The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated for 10 days. This time this festival will be celebrated from 7th September to 17th September. On 17th Ganesh ji will be immersed all over the country. Why is he worshipped first?
It is believed that once there was a competition among the gods to circumambulate the earth, in which the one who returned first after completing the circumambulation was considered the best.
