Hero Xtreme 160R 2V Launch in India, Updated Bike Features Drag Race Timer and Single-Channel ABS Price at ₹1.11 Lakh

Hero MotoCorp has today (September 10) launched the Hero Extreme 160R 2V in the Indian market. The Indian two-wheeler maker recently launched the 2024 model of the Hero Extreme 160R 4V, after which it has now introduced the updated version of the Extreme 160R 2V.

After the update, the company has kept the ex-showroom price of the bike at Rs 1.11 lakh. It means it is Rs 28 thousand cheaper than the Extreme 160R 4V. The bike is now equipped with features like drag race timer, single-channel ABS, tail-light and single-piece seat like the Extreme 160R 4V. It competes with the Bajaj Pulsar N150 (₹ 1.25 lakh) and Yamaha FZ range of bikes (₹ 1.17 lakh-₹ 1.30 lakh).

2024 Hero Extreme 160R 2V: Design and Hardware 2024 Hero Extreme 160R 2V is available in only a single variant with black color. Hero has removed the split-seat and now given a single-piece seat for comfort riding. Its front has LED headlight and daytime running light. The company has given a new tail section with new rear panel and new taillight design in the new Extreme 160R 2V.

The taillight also has an emergency stop signal, which blinks when braking in an emergency. The bike now also has a drag timer on the instrument console, which can measure the speed of the bike. The bike is built on a diamond-type frame. It now gets KYB inverted forks and 7-step preload-adjustable monoshock.

For braking, the bike has disc brakes with single channel ABS at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The bike gets 17-inch alloy wheels, with 100/80 tubeless tires at the front and 130/70 tubeless tires at the rear. The seat height is 795mm and the Extreme weighs 145 kg with a 12-liter tank.

2024 Hero Extreme 160R 2V: Engine Specifications

There is no change in the engine of the bike. It has a 163.2CC single-cylinder oil-cooled engine, which generates 15hp of power at 8,500 and 14Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.

This engine is tuned with a 5-speed gearbox unit. The bike is OBD-2 compliant and capable of running on E20 petrol (20% ethanol mix petrol).
