1. Shikhar Dhawan –
The former Indian opening batsman, Shikhar Dhawan was the man who scored the bulk of runs in the ICC events. Dhawan was also known as Gabbar because he dominated the match proceedings with his gusty stroke play. Dhawan is the batter who is still the highest run-getter in the history of the ICC Champions Trophy as well.
Shikhar scored 701 runs from 10 matches and ten innings, which is the most by any Indian batter in this ICC Champions Trophy event even now. Dhawan had an average of 77.88 and a strike rate of 101.59. He scored three half-centuries and 3 centuries which is also the most by an Indian batter in this ICC event of the fifty overs form of the game.
Dhawan was also awarded the Golden Bat in the ICC Champions Trophy for scoring the most runs in that edition. In 2013, when India lifted the ICC Champions Trophy in England and Wales, Shikhar Dhawan scored the most runs in that season. The former Indian opener smashed 363 runs and again in 2017, Gabbar scored the most runs in that edition. He scored 338 runs which took India to the finals of that fifty overs event.

2. Sourav Ganguly –
The Prince of Kolkata, Sourav Ganguly was the Indian captain when the Men in Blue reached the finals of the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy edition. But because of the rains, that whole match was a washout and India could not win that edition. However, Dada, Sourav Ganguly is still known as one of the best captains of Indian Cricket.
Sourav also has the same amount of centuries in the ICC Champions Trophy history as Shikhar Dhawan. Ganguly had also smashed three centuries in this ICC event of the fifty-overs format. He is also the second-highest run-getter in this ODI event for the Men in Blue.
From 13 ODIs and 11 innings of the ICC Champions Trophy, Dada had scored 665 runs, which is the second most in this ICC tournament. Ganguly had an average of 73.88 and a strike rate of 83.12. He scored one half-century and three centuries in the ICC Champions Trophy, which is the joint most by any Indian batsman.
Sourav Ganguly also won the Golden Bat in the ICC Champions Trophy. In 2000, Dada scored 348 runs in that edition and India ended as the runner-up of that edition of this fifty overs format. India lost to New Zealand in the final despite a 117-run knock from Dada in the CT 2000 final.
