We have listed down five top performers of day three between IND Vs BAN in Chennai

1.    Shubman Gill –

The Prince got out on zero in the first innings because of a poor selection. However, Shubman Gill made a stunning century in the second innings and took India to a match-winning position. Gill scored an unbeaten 119 runs and he is the highest scorer for the Men in Blue in this match after Ashiwn’s 113 runs in the 1st innings.

2. Rishabh Pant –

What a comeback for Rishabh Pant in international cricket. Pant was also the part of T20 World Cup 2024 winning team and in the red ball format, he scored a terrific hundred. His last innings was also a good one and that too against the same opposition team of Bangladesh. In 2022, Rishabh scored 93 runs at Dhaka and in this current game, Pant has slammed the second ton for India in this contest.

The flamboyant wicketkeeper batter scored 109 runs. This knock wasn’t a usual one for Pant where he smashed fours and sixes. But here, he took time to get his eye in and then smashed the Bangladeshi bowlers all over the Chidambaram Stadium. He also shared a mammoth partnership of 170 runs with Gill to take the team out of trouble in this match.

3. Mehidy Hasan Miraj

The spin bowling will have a lot of work to do for his team tomorrow on day four with the bat in hand. Mehidy Hasan Miraj bowled a lot of overs today in the two morning sessions. The team didn’t use the services of Shakib Al Hasan more and when Shakib was asked to bowl later, Pant scored heavy runs against him. So it was important for the visitors that Mehidy was fit to bowl. He was the one who took the wicket of Rishabh Pant today and Virat Kohli yesterday.

4. Najmul Hossain Shanto –

The skipper of the Bangladeshi side is the only batter from his team who has scored a half century in this red ball game in Chennai. Najmal Hossain Shanto is still unbeaten on 51 runs in the tall run chase of 515 runs. Bangladesh hopes that their skipper stays at the crease tomorrow as long as possible to deny an easy win for the Men in Blue. The Tigers are placed at 158 runs for the loss of four wickets with still 357 runs to get on day four.

5. Ravichandran Ashwin –

The ace spinner of the Indian Team, Ravichandran Ashwin couldn’t pick up a single wicket in the 1st innings and it looked like he would also not pick up any scalps in the second innings as well especially when the Bangladeshi openers had put up a stand of 56 runs for the first wicket. But he has picked up three scalps so far and one wicket has been picked up by Boom Boom Bumrah in the second outing.
