IND Vs ENG 2025: England had ended their tour of India in an unwanted way. Last year, the visitors toured India for a red ball series and they could win just the opening match of that five-match Test series in Hyderabad. Now IND Vs ENG 2025 series was played in white-ball form of the game.

But England managed to win just one match in the series of the shortest format and Rohit Sharma’s men whitewashed the 2019 ODI Champions by a margin of three-nil in the ODI matches played.

England’s misery in the fifty overs format continues. Buttler and his men didn’t have a decent World Cup in the fifty-overs format during 2023. Now they have lost 16 One Day International matches from 23 games played after the 2023 ODI World Cup which was played in India and won by Australia.
These 16 losses are the most by any team in the fifty-overs format. England have managed to win just seven matches after the fifty overs tournament in India in 2023. Jos Buttler had led England in 15 games and lost 11 matches as the skipper of England.
South Africa, Bangladesh and Netherlands are the other three teams who have lost more One Day International games after the 2023 World Cup in the fifty overs format. The Bangla Tigers have lost 15 ODIs from 21 matches, South Africa played 24 games and lost 13 matches while the Netherlands lost 12 encounters from 21 matches played in the fifty overs format.
England has also lost the ODI Series played at home against the Aussies. To West Indies away from home and India recently on their limited-overs format tour in 2025. Buttler and his Men will start their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 versus the Aussies and then take on the Afghans and The Proteas. Can England do well in the upcoming tournament despite their awful record in recent times?
