In the match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to bowl first. His decision proved effective in the very first over, as Indian captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed after scoring just 1 run.
However, after this Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli put pressure on the England bowlers by making a partnership of 116 runs. After this, Gill along with Shreyas Iyer made an important partnership of 104 runs. Kohli scored 52 runs, while Iyer played a solid innings of 78 runs.

Shubman Gill has been in great form since the start of the series against England. He scored 87 runs in the first match, followed by 60 runs in the second ODI in Cuttack. Finally, in the third match, he managed to complete his 7th ODI century.
Gill holds the record for scoring the fastest seven centuries in ODI cricket, achieving the feat in just 50 innings.

After the Indian batsmen put up a mammoth total of 356 runs, the bowlers took charge and ensured victory. Phil Salt and Ben Duckett were consistently giving England a good start in the series, but their middle order once again failed to take advantage of it.
The two shared an opening partnership of 60 runs, but after that the Indian bowlers took control and in no time, England’s score reached 154/5. At this point, England’s defeat was certain.
Captain Jos Buttler, who was in good form, was dismissed after scoring just 6 runs, while Joe Root returned to the pavilion after scoring just 24 runs.
For India, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya took two wickets each, while Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav also took one wicket each.
