IND Vs NZ: India and New Zealand will gear up for the second match of this three-match series in the red ball format. After the high-flying performance from the Blackcaps side in Bengaluru, the visitors will look to repeat their heroics in the second Test match as well.
New Zealand leads the series with a margin of 1-0 after their win in the opening encounter. Now the Kiwis should aim for their first ever series win in India after their Test victory of 36 years. But Kane Williamson is out from the second red ball game because of his groin injury.
India will look to make a stern comeback in this series and also level it to one all before they travel to Mumbai for the last match. The Men in Blue will have to win this encounter to stay in the hunt for their qualification for the World Test Championship final in 2025 at Lords.
India’s batting in the overcast conditions and with the new ball was a huge issue in 1st test match. The hosts were bundled out for just 46 runs and with the new ball they lost seven wickets for just 62 runs when they had put up a decent show in the 2nd innings.
The bowling was also a problem. The spin twins and Kuldeep Yadav failed to make an impact, which was the reason why the Kiwis raced away to 402 runs in their first innings. Ashwin and Jadeja were expensive. Only Jasprit Bumrah made a good impression with the red cherry in both innings of the test match in M Chinnaswamy Stadium. India will look to make a few changes as they have added Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar, and Akash Deep to their Test squad for the second Test match.

IND Vs NZ: Today We Shall Mention The Five Players Who May Get The Highest Fantasy Points For The Second Test Match In Pune –
1. Virat Kohli –
The King of Indian Cricket, International Arena and IPL was out on a duck in the 1st innings when India amassed their lowest score ever at home. But he scored 70 runs in the second innings and also shared a valuable partnership with Sarfaraz Khan, who scored his maiden Test match ton in the second innings of the 1st Test match. That knock should lift the spirits of Kohli and he should be inspired by his own knock of unbeaten 254 runs versus South Africa at MCA Stadium in Pune in 2019.
2. Jasprit Bumrah –
The man in form Indian bowler Boom Boom Bumrah bowled his heart out when India was defending just 107 runs on the board in the second innings of the 1st Test match. He picked up the skipper of New Zealand Tom Latham and Devon Conway. But the target was too small to defend and in the end the Kiwis won the first match by 8 wickets. Bumrah is the spearhead of the Indian pace bowling attack and he needs to deliver with the red cherry for India in the next two matches of this three-match series.
3. Rachin Ravindra –
The first centurion of the first Test match, Rachin Ravindra, held the innings together in the first innings of the first Test match in Bengaluru. He scored 134 runs in the first innings which allowed the Kiwis to pile up 402 runs and be ahead by a mammoth margin of 356 runs. Ravindra is an in-form batter from the New Zealand side. He also played well in the second innings to guide his team home in a run chase of 107 runs.
4. Matt Henry and William Orourke –
Matt Henry and William Orourke dismantled the batting powerhouse of the Men in Blue in the 1st innings when the conditions were overcast and supported the pace bowlers the most. But they also picked up crucial wickets with the new ball in the second innings when India batted. In the 1st outing, Matt Henry picked up five scalps and Orourke picked up four wickets. In the second innings, both the pacer bowlers picked three wickets each to their names which never allowed India to be in the strong position.
5. Ravichandran Ashwin –
The spin bowling all-rounder, Ravichandran Ashwin didn’t look at his best in the 1st red ball match. He picked up just one wicket to his name in that entire Test match, which is a rare sight to see. As a champion bowler, Ash is expected to bounce back in the remaining two matches of this series, which India needs to win and ensure a place in the WTC Final for the third back to back to time. Ashwin has picked up 13 scalps from just two Test matches played in Pune.
