India has been a dominant side in the red ball format played at home. It took 12 years and 18 series for them to lose a Test match series played on their home soil. In 2012, England was the last team to win the Test series in India despite facing a hammering loss in the opening red ball match played in Ahmedabad.

Now New Zealand has scaled the Everest of this decade by winning a red ball series on the Indian soil recently. The Kiwis have taken a lead in the series by a margin of two nil and there might be possibility of clean sweep series win for the visitors as well when New Zealand will take on the home side in Mumbai in few days time.
