Salary Structure:
Agniveer soldiers receive a structured salary over their four-year term, which includes training and service. Here’s how their annual package progresses:
- First Year: Approximately Rs 4.76 lakhs annually, with a monthly salary starting at Rs 30,000.
- Second Year: Monthly salary increases to Rs 33,000.
- Third Year: Monthly salary further increases to Rs 36,500.
- Fourth Year: Monthly salary reaches Rs 40,000.
Agniveers contribute 30% of their monthly salary to a Seva Nidhi fund, matched by the government.
Compensation for Martyrdom:
In the unfortunate event of martyrdom during service, Agniveer soldiers’ families receive significant compensation:
- A non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs 48 lakhs.
