Ibrahim Raisi, President of Iran has died in a helicopter crash. This has been confirmed by some news agencies in Iran. In this helicopter accident, the bodies of President Ibrahim Raisi as well as Foreign Minister Amir Abdullahiyan, and others have also been confirmed to have been found at the crash site. Let us tell you who is Ibrahim Raisi. The news of whose death has created a stir in many countries.
Who is Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi?
Ibrahim Raisi was born in 1960 in the city of Mashhad in north-eastern Iran. His father was a Maulvi, who passed away when he was five. Due to this Raisi was inclined towards religion and politics from the beginning. Due to this inclination, during his student days, he came out on the streets against Reza Shah, who was considered a supporter of Western countries.
At the age of 15, he started studying at a Shia institute located in Qom city. He was also appointed the Prosecutor General of Karaj, located near Tehran, at the age of just 20.
In June 2021, he was elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, replacing liberal Hassan Rouhani. Raisi always wore a black turban by Shia tradition, indicating that he was a descendant of the Prophet.
Reason behind accident
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi was returning from East Azerbaijan. Then his helicopter crashed, killing all the people on board. According to reports, due to fog in the hilly area, the pilot lost control of the helicopter, leading to the accident. However, many people are also seeing it as a conspiracy because reports are coming out quoting sources that three helicopters were operating in his convoy, hence it is a bit strange that only Raees’ helicopter crashed.
