Damage caused by using contact lenses
Nowadays, people wear lenses to make their eyes look more beautiful and attractive. However, contact lenses can also cause various harms. Let’s understand what precautions should be taken when wearing lenses.
According to the US Food and Drug Administration, using contact lenses can lead to several serious eye problems. In some cases, eyesight can even be lost. Therefore, when wearing contact lens, if you experience any discomfort such as burning sensation, tearing, or redness in the eyes, immediately remove your lenses. Consult your doctor about any concerns so they can understand your problem well.
If you also wear contact lenses, keep these things in mind
1. If you experience any kind of eye discomfort, immediately visit your doctor and follow their advice on using contact lens and washing them.
2. Do not use the solution that is already present in the lens box. Use a new solution and discard any leftover contact lens solution.
3. Remove your lenses while swimming, otherwise there is a risk of infection from microorganisms in pool water.
4. Do not wash your contact lens with tap water, seawater, or river water.
These precautions can help prevent complications and ensure safe use of contact lenses.
