This incident occurred in the Mahesh Nagar area around midnight. During this event, Kirodi Lal Meena had a confrontation with Mahesh Nagar’s CI, Kavita Sharma. Meena has leveled serious allegations against the police.
Allegations of Misconduct by Police
Kirodi Lal Meena accused the police of mistreating student leader Vikas Vidhuni and his wife, who were allegedly locked in a room without reason and harassed. He further claimed that a young woman named Manju was forcibly made to sit in a police jeep and taken to the police station, despite having committed no crime.
CI Kavita Sharma’s Calm Response
Throughout the confrontation, CI Kavita Sharma remained calm and attempted to pacify Meena. She repeatedly asked him to speak calmly and explained that her actions were in accordance with orders from senior officials. However, Meena’s anger remained unresolved, and he subsequently contacted the Jaipur Police Commissioner and the DCP to address the issue, which led to a resolution.
Police’s Intelligence Report and Meena’s Reactions
The police stated that they had received information that the student leaders might attempt to disrupt the Rajasthan Summit and engage in wrongdoings during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Jaipur. Meena dismissed these intelligence reports as baseless, accusing the police of creating unnecessary fears about the students’ actions. In response, he offered to drive Manju home in his car and vowed to escalate the matter to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.
