Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal on February 4 announced an investment of Rs 2,000 crore in his artificial intelligence venture Krutrim. He also talked about committing to invest Rs 10,000 crore by next year, as the race for AI has intensified.

Krutrim AI Lab also announced
Bhavish Aggarwal also announced Krutrim AI Lab, a leading artificial intelligence research lab. He also unveiled the next version of Krutrim Large Language Model ‘Krutrim-2’. He also introduced a series of AI models, including vision language model, speech language model and text-to-text translation model.
We have been working on AI for a year
Aggarwal shared a post on social media platform X and said, ‘We have been working on AI for a year, today we are releasing our work to the open source community and are also publishing many technical reports. Our focus is on developing AI for India. We have to improve AI on Indian language, data scarcity, cultural context etc.’
Bhavish has also announced the deployment of India’s first GB200 in partnership with Nvidia, which is expected to be operational by March. He said, ‘We will make it India’s largest supercomputer by the end of the year.’
