Latest Passport Ranking: With the start of the new year, the Henley Passport Index has released the latest ranking of the world’s most powerful passports. This year’s ranking has seen significant changes.

It is important to note that Henley & Partners has based the 2025 ranking on the latest data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The strength of the passport of different countries is determined by how many countries their citizens can enter without a visa.

Latest Passport Ranking: Which Country Holds the Top Spot?

According to the Henley Passport Index 2025, Singapore tops the list. Singapore citizens can enter the most 195 countries without a visa. Japan is in second place, whose citizens can enter 193 countries without a visa.

Finland, France, Germany, Italy, South Korea and Spain are all in third place, where citizens of these countries can enter 192 countries without a visa.

Latest Passport Ranking: Countries in 4th and 5th Place

Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden are ranked fourth in this year’s ranking. Citizens of these countries can enter 191 countries without a visa.

Belgium, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland and the United Kingdom are ranked fifth, whose citizens can enter 190 countries without a visa.

India’s Latest Passport Ranking

India’s passport is ranked 85th in the Henley Passport Index 2025, down from 80th last year. Indian citizens can enter 57 countries without a visa. Pakistan is ranked 103rd, whose citizens can enter 33 countries without a visa. Afghanistan is ranked the lowest, at 106th, whose citizens can enter only 26 countries without a visa.

Countries Where Indian Citizens Can Enter Without a Visa

Indian citizens can enter the following countries without a visa: Angola, Barbados, Bhutan, Bolivia, British Virgin Islands, Burundi, Cambodia, Cape Verde Islands, Comoros Islands, Cook Islands, Djibouti, Dominica, Ethiopia, Fiji, Grenada, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Indonesia, Iran, Jamaica, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kiribati, Laos, Macau, Madagascar, Malaysia, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Mauritania, Micronesia, Nepal, Myanmar, Qatar, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Montserrat, Mozambique, Niue, Palau Islands, Samoa, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Tanzania, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Zimbabwe.
