Maharashtra: Doctors Arrive at Eknath Shinde’s Home Amid Health Issues

Maharashtra: Maharashtra’s acting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s health has deteriorated, due to which a medical team has been called to his residence. According to reports, CM Shinde, who is staying at his residence in Dare village, Satara, has fever.

A team of doctors from Satara has reached his residence and is treating him. He has a ancestral home in Satara, where he is currently staying.

The Chief Minister has been suffering from cold and viral fever since Friday and has been feeling unwell since morning. He has been on an election tour across the state for the last one month and has attended many meetings in recent days, due to which he suffered from viral infections like fever and cold.

As a result, CM Eknath Shinde left for his village to rest and is currently undergoing treatment for fever.

Doctor Provides Update on Eknath Shinde’s Health

Dr. R.M. Parte provided an update on Eknath Shinde’s health, saying, “Eknath Shinde has a fever, cold, and throat infection. I have administered an IV drip, and he should recover in one or two days. His condition has been bad since yesterday, and treatment has now started.”

After attending the Mahayuti meeting with Amit Shah in Delhi, Eknath Shinde went directly to his ancestral home in Satara. He had canceled his meeting with Mahayuti in Mumbai. There were speculations that he was upset about the ongoing deadlock regarding the Chief Minister’s position in the alliance.

However, Shiv Sena, led by Shinde, rejected these claims and clarified that the party leader was feeling unwell and had gone to his village to rest.

Meeting with Amit Shah Held on Thursday Night

On Thursday night, Home Minister Amit Shah held separate discussions with Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar at his residence in Delhi.

BJP President JP Nadda, NCP Working President Praful Patel and NCP MP Sunil Tatkare also reached Shah’s residence.

The meeting lasted for about three hours, but no decision could be taken on the name of the Chief Minister.

After the meeting, Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar returned to Mumbai late night. About the meeting, acting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that it was good and positive.

This was the first meeting in which he met Shah and JP Nadda. According to Shinde, the leaders of the Mahayuti will hold a second meeting in Mumbai, in which the name of the CM will be decided.

Earlier, Shinde reiterated that there is no obstacle regarding the post of Chief Minister and the title of “Ladla Bhai” means more to him than anything else. He also mentioned that he has accepted the BJP’s choice for CM and will support any decision taken by the BJP leadership.

Results Were Declared on November 23

The results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections were announced on November 23, where the Mahayuti alliance secured 233 seats. Despite this overwhelming mandate, the ruling BJP-led Mahayuti coalition has yet to finalize its choice for Chief Minister.

In the 280-member Maharashtra Assembly, the BJP emerged as the largest party with 132 seats. While its allied parties—Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde and NCP led by Ajit Pawar—won 57 and 41 seats, respectively.
