Thousands of people using Microsoft products around the world faced outages again today (July 30). These products include email service Outlook to the famous game Minecraft.
The company’s services were shut down around the world just 11 days ago. Down Detector, which monitors websites, said that thousands of people had complained of problems on Tuesday afternoon. After this, the company had to apologize.
Microsoft: The company said – Experts are investigating
The company tweeted on social media platform X that ‘We are investigating reports of problems related to Microsoft services at the global level. We apologize for the inconvenience. Our experts are investigating this situation so that it can be resolved as soon as possible.’
Problems in applications like Word and Excel too
Microsoft Corp said that it is facing interruptions in some office applications and services. The company said in the post that this problem is ‘affecting many Microsoft 365 services. Microsoft 365 includes the company’s product applications like Outlook, Word and Excel.
11 days ago, Microsoft service was down for 15 hours
Earlier, the company’s service was down for 15 hours due to a software update by American anti-virus company Crowdstrike. Due to this, millions of computers running on Microsoft’s operating system stopped working and started restarting automatically.
Due to this, essential services like airports, flights, trains, hospitals, banks, restaurants, digital payments, stock exchanges, TV channels and supermarkets came to a halt across the world. The maximum impact was seen at airports. 3% i.e. about 4,295 flights had to be cancelled worldwide.
